Dynisma to Supply Ground-breaking Simulator Technology to Rodin Motorsport

  • Agreement between Dynisma Ltd.® and Rodin Motorsport signed for delivery of new driving simulator
  • F1-bred low-latency, high-bandwidth DMG (Dynisma Motion Generator) systems set new standards in simulator technology offering an experience as close to reality as possible
  • Rodin Motorsport will use its DMG-1 simulator for race car setup, tyre strategy, driver seat-time and circuit familiarisation.

Dynisma Ltd.® has signed an agreement with Rodin Motorsport to supply its ground-breaking, world-leading simulator technology to the F2 team for their multi-faceted racing efforts.

Based in Surrey, United Kingdom, Rodin Motorsport currently competes in six championships including FIA Formula 2, FIA Formula 3, GB3 Championship, F1 Academy, F4 British Championship and Spanish F4.

Bringing a revolutionary approach to simulators, Dynisma Motion Generators™ (DMG) set new standards in terms of lowest latency and highest bandwidth and have been bred in topflight motorsport, including F1. Developed and built by a team of world-class engineers committed to pioneering solutions in motion generation, Dynisma supplies leading motorsport teams, as well as automotive OEMs, around the world.

The team has won numerous titles and more than 400 races across various categories over the past 25 years. Rodin Motorsport's race winning heritage is set in British F3, under its previous name of Carlin, where the team established its foundations in the late 1990's.

Rodin Motorsport will utilize its DMG-1 simulator as a powerful engineering tool for vehicle setup, performance optimisation, and driver preparation across all racetracks and series in which it competes. Additionally, the simulator will play a key role in accelerating race car development ahead of the 2025 season.

F2 Team Manager, Benn Huntingford said: “Having a simulator on site of the standard of DMG-1 is going to be a game changer internally for how we approach our seasons. Not only will we be able to continue our push with our driver preparation but it allows us the opportunity to really look at our car set up and evaluate things in a landscape where testing just isn’t possible.

“We’ve already seen from Callum [Voisin] testing the simulator that it is an incredibly useful tool so we’re very much looking forward to working with Dynisma and getting the simulator on site next year.

F3 Driver Callum Voisin, added: “I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Dynisma HQ a couple of months ago to test out the simulator and I was really impressed with the technology and how it felt to drive. From my point of view, it’s an incredibly useful piece of kit. I did a session around Spa on the simulator and then went and won my first F3 race at Spa just a couple of weeks later – it was so realistic. I’m really happy I was able to help Rodin Motorsport on this journey.”

Rodin Motorsport Owner, David Dicker, said: “I am thrilled that we are working with Dynisma as we continue our journey as a team with this new simulator. I truly believe this is going to be an extremely beneficial tool to the whole team and is a testament to everything we are striving to achieve here at Rodin Motorsport. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve put in so far, and this is the next step; I can’t wait for our drivers to begin using this, and our engineers to utilise this amazing piece of technology fully.”

Ashley Warne, Dynisma CEO, said: “Dynisma’s mission has always been to create the world’s most immersive simulators, with the highest bandwidth and lowest latency possible. I am delighted that Rodin Motorsport will utilise our leading technology to optimise car setups and give drivers more preparation given limited track time in the coming racing seasons, hopefully helping them to add to their many achievements on track.

Available as turn-key solutions, or customised to exact requirements, Dynisma offers customers the possibility to integrate any type of chassis, in current production or prototype, for both motorsport and automotive applications.
