Not sure where to start? Our Motorsport Careers Guide will help

A career in motorsport promises to be both exciting and rewarding with plenty of opportunities available - if you possess the drive and right attributes.

Like anything in life, you have to work hard to succeed and sacrifices may need to be made. A career in motorsports can involve working long hours and weekends with lots of time away from home. Besides the perceived glamour, the reality is you could find yourself working in all weathers, completely exposed to the elements. Our sport is also highly pressured and you need to be able to deal with that too. Now if all that doesn’t faze you, read on because the rewards can be great.

A career in motorsport offers a huge amount. And not only from a financial perspective. Many people working within the industry will tell you that working as part of a team and achieving success is one of the best feelings in the world. Of course, as with any industry, the best companies will attract the best employees - so if you want to be part of their success, you must be prepared to put in the extra effort and work hard.

At the MIA, we’ve compiled our own Motorsport Careers Guide which should help get you started on the path of your chosen career. Containing lots of useful advice and resources, the Guide details the skills you will need, the programmes available, website links and much more. It’s continually being reviewed and updated to ensure we’re supplying you with the latest and most relevant information.
