Driver61 Launches FluidJobs.com, Bridging the Gap in Motorsport Recruitment

16 August 2024, Stratford Upon Avon, UK

Driver61, known for its popular motorsport YouTube channel, has launched FluidJobs.com, a specialist recruitment platform for the motorsport industry.

In its first month, the site has attracted 5,000 weekly active users and features over 400 job listings, ranging from graduate to senior positions in Formula 1, IndyCar, WRC, Formula E and other top-tier motorsport series.

The launch of FluidJobs.com marks another step in Driver61's diversification strategy, following the successful launch of Trophi.ai, an AI-powered coaching platform for racing simulation and eSports. These initiatives form part of Driver61's broader mission to introduce more people to motorsport, simulation, and related motorsport careers.

Scott Mansell, founder of Driver61, said:

"We saw recruitment as a natural fit for our mission. All aspects of motorsport are competitive, even starting a career in the field has its challenges. We're using Driver61's unique position as one of the world's most popular motorsport-oriented YouTube channels to address this. With 1.26 million subscribers and 47.5 million views per month, we're well-placed to make a significant impact."

FluidJobs.com aims to bridge the gap between talented individuals and motorsport organisations, with a broad focus on the career journey; from helping graduates enter motorsport engineering roles to helping F1 teams find senior engineering and aerodynamics hires.

Mansell added: "I've had valuable input from HR professionals in Formula 1 and spent time with the Oxford Brookes Formula Student team. Recently, I interviewed Kimi Räikkönen's former race engineer, Julien Simon-Chautemps, who strongly emphasised the need for young engineers to develop the resilience and perseverance needed to succeed in motorsport. The great thing about our media focus is all of this information gets shared on the YouTube channel and of course, the FluidJobs blog.

The platform's rapid growth has bolstered the team's confidence in their ambitious plans. "With close to 20,000 unique monthly users and a rapidly growing CV database, we're feeling confident that we can fulfil our 6-month ambition to become the largest source of career guidance and roles in motorsport globally," Mansell stated.
