GUEST SPEAKER

We will be thrilled to welcome on stage former Welsh rugby union player Tom Shanklin.

Tomos George Llewellyn Shanklin, born 24 November 1979, is a former Welsh rugby union player who played outside centre for Cardiff Blues, Wales and was selected on two occasions for the British and Irish Lions.

Tom played for Wales at under-19, under-21 and A-team levels and made his first debut in the Six Nations Championship against France in 2002 and his first international appearance for the senior side was against Japan in Tokyo in 2001.

Tom won 70 caps for Wales and was a key figure in two Grand Slams. He scored 20 tries, placing him 5th-equal on the list of record try-scorers for Wales. Unfortunately, due to several knee injuries, Tom announced his immediate retirement from all forms of the game.

Now, Tom has founded 'Locker Room Events ltd' a sporting hospitality company in Wales. In addition, Tom also works as a pundit and commentator on TV, notably for BBC Scrum V, Prime Video, ITV and Viaplay sports with their coverage of the United Rugby Championship, Autumn Nations cup and RWC 2023.
