Net Zero Hydrogen Fund Briefing Event 2023

31 March 2023

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, supported by Innovate UK and Innovate UK KTN, have launched round 2 of the Net Zero Hydrogen Fund (NZHF).

Strands 1 & 2 are aimed at the development and deployment of low carbon hydrogen production. These competitions aim to develop a diverse and secure hydrogen economy fit for meeting the UK’s ambition of up to 10GW low carbon hydrogen production by 2030.

Strand 1 will provide development expenditure (DEVEX) for front end engineering design (FEED) studies and post-FEED activities, to develop the pipeline of hydrogen production projects and measurably move them closer to deployment.

Strand 2 will provide capital expenditure (CAPEX) support for hydrogen production projects that do not require revenue support through the Hydrogen Business Model (HBM). Applicants for strand 2 must demonstrate how they will develop a credible project that will contribute to the at-scale production of low-carbon hydrogen by 2025.

Register your attendance for the online briefing event on the 19th April 2023 to hear more about the competition scope, timelines and key application criteria. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions to enable you to make informed decisions on the applicability of your project and to provide you with the best chance of success.
