Environmental sustainability for aerospace suppliers
25 August 2022
Midlands Aerospace Alliance have shared the following event.
26th October - This event will take place at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry As part of the Aerospace Unlocking Potential programme, the MAA and the University of Nottingham are organising a collaborative event on environmental sustainability targeted at helping smaller aerospace suppliers. Working closely with experts from leading Midlands aerospace companies Collins, Meggitt, Moog and Rolls-Royce, we’ll show how Midlands SMEs can develop their own policies and approaches as they work towards Net Zero 2050. We will share what we consider to be the top five priorities for aerospace suppliers in a day consisting of presentations, workshops and practice sharing opportunities, along with practical guidance to: - Form a structured approach to address environmental sustainability
- Demystify ‘carbon jargon’ and help you become carbon literate
- Benchmark energy usage (Scope 1,2 & 3) and reduce associated costs
- Signpost useful resources and existing expert support
- Facilitate good practice sharing, help you understand what your peers are doing, develop mutually supportive networks.
Booking your place Priority bookings will be given to Midlands SMEs that are not already enrolled on the Aerospace UP programme. All other companies should also sign up now, and we will confirm your places – we do expect to accommodate other companies -- a month before the event. This activity is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020. This activity is classed as State Aid under De Minimis to participating businesses but is delivered completely free of charge.
