Statement from the MIA regarding January events

16 December 2021

MIA CEO Chris Aylett has released the following statement regarding MIA events.

These are unpredictable times as the recent announcement of the UK Government’s ‘Covid Plan B’ clearly demonstrates, with our Prime Minister warning that ‘a tidal wave of Omicron coming’, a statement we, unfortunately, cannot ignore. Following very careful consideration and consultation, it is clear this Plan significantly affects delivery of our MIA Energy Efficient Motorsport Conference on 12th January and MIA Business Excellence Awards Dinner on 13th January at the NEC, Birmingham.

Our main priority has to be the health and safety of our guests and staff, some of whom are travelling from across the UK and Europe but there are many other factors that are compromised too.

As a result, I am sorry to inform you that we have no alternative but to postpone our popular MIA Energy Efficient Motorsport Conference to the new planned date of 23rd March 2022 and the MIA Business Excellence Awards Dinner until 19th October 2022, where it will follow the first day of our Conference & Technology Showcase (CTS2022).

To recognise our 2021 Award winners, we will be presenting these awards during our rescheduled Energy Efficient Motorsport Conference on 23rd March.

We hope you are able to join us on these new dates and if you have any questions please contact the MIA Team - info@the-mia.com.

All at the MIA wish you and your family a Happy Festive Break, and a less unpredictable New Year!
