AP Racing supplying clutches to eight F1™ teams for 2019

Fifty-year championship-winning pedigree extended

AP Racing, the leading manufacturer of performance brake and clutch systems, has announced that is supplying bespoke clutch systems to eight of the 10 Formula 1 teams for the 2019 season.

The company has supplied into Formula 1 since 1967 and every championship since then has been won by a car fitted with an AP Racing clutch or brake system - or both.

At least one F1 team is also fitting braking systems from the company to its cars this season.

All of the systems are designed and built to individual team requirements by AP Racing's dedicated team at its Coventry facility.

AP Racing's marketing engineer, Joe Bennett explained: "Our pedigree in high-performance clutch and brake technologies for the motorsport sector is unrivaled. We now have more than 50 years' experience in supplying F1 teams with bespoke systems. 

"Our relentless drive to enhance performance is backed by continued investment in research & development to optimise design and materials and deliver to the exacting needs of F1 teams. We believe we are the only company able to supply both brakes and clutches to the required standard."
