Innovation in sport: accelerating breakthroughs in engineering, optimisation and performance

27 September 2022

The Royal Society are hosting the following event.

Innovation in sport: accelerating breakthroughs in engineering, optimisation and performance to be held at Carlton House Terrace, London, on 14 November 2022.

The event is part of the Royal Society’s unique and high-profile Transforming our future conference series, which brings together leading experts from industry, academia, the wider scientific community and government to explore and address key scientific and technical challenges of the coming decade.

This conference will be led and chaired by Professor Philip Bond FREng and Professor Alan Wilson FRS. Two broad sessions and a panel discussion – with high-profile speakers from industry, elite sport and academia – will explore how cutting-edge advances and innovations in data, modelling, simulation, and design engineering are enabling humans and machines to operate ever closer to peak functional and mechanical capacity. The conference agenda is nearly finalised and is available here on the Society’s website.
