20 May 2021

MIA member Lentus Composites has prepared the following press release.

Lentus Composites – Sole supplier of a high performance composite propshaft solution for NASCAR’s 2022 Next Gen Cup Car

Lentus are pleased to announce that they are the sole supplier of a high performance composite propshaft solution to the Next Gen platform which uses Lentus’ proprietary joining and flexible coupling technology.

The NASCAR Next Gen is the future generation of chassis to be used in the Cup series and is aimed at making the cars more cost-effective while simultaneously enhancing driver safety.

The Lentus solution brings benefits in terms of vehicle architecture, overall performance and crash safety. It’s also a derivative of solutions which Lentus provides to several high performance OEM road going platforms, demonstrating a true technology transfer for NASCAR, “Race it on Sunday, Buy it on Monday.”

Daniel Chilcott, Business Development Director said, “Lentus are delighted to be selected as the official propshaft suppliers of the series and we would like to thank NASCAR for letting us be part of this exciting programme. We look forward to the Next Gen car racing next season!”
