World’s first Motorsport Business School launched - National Motorsport Academy

The world’s first commercial motorsport business school has been launched by online motorsport education provider, the National Motorsport Academy (NMA).

Developed in conjunction with industry and motorsport governance bodies, the NMA’s new online Business of Motorsport programmes have been created to address a skills gap at the commercial end of the industry.

Following consultation with industry leaders and large motorsport businesses, the National Motorsport Academy has created a range of post-graduate courses to train a new generation of motorsport management professionals. Business School Programme Leader Genevieve Gordon explains more.

“The whole purpose of the NMA Business School is to give people the opportunity to underpin their commercial experience with specific skills and knowledge that will benefit the motorsport industry as a whole. As motorsport becomes more aware of the importance of sustainable practices and struggles to protect its reputation for innovation, developing the skillsets at the business end of the sport can only help to support the future of motorsport around the globe."

The new NMA Business School programmes differ greatly from the NMA’s existing courses as they deal specifically with the commercial activities within the business side of motorsport. The MA, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate cover topics such as governance and law, sponsorship, marketing for motorsport, ethics and change management, to help graduates and other professionals to tailor their learning specifically to the motorsport industry.

All NMA degrees are awarded in partnership with De Montfort University, ranked by The Times in the top 3% of the world’s universities for student satisfaction and graduate employability.

The National Motorsport Academy is the only institution to offer truly flexible, online motorsport degrees that are nationally and internationally recognised. NMA is part of the NDA Foundation, a not for profit organisation committed to widening access to higher education through flexible, affordable online learning which has students in over 80 countries.
