MIA member Withers & Rogers are hosting the following webinar.

Webinar: AI can you patent it?
Date: Thursday 8th July 2021
Time: 9am BST, 10am CEST

AI can you patent it? Exploring the topic of patenting AI innovations.

Myths around Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) patentability and software inventions have long been uncertain, even among IP Professionals.

Withers & Rogers experts plan to help bust some of those myths and give you a perspective on patenting AI.

Join them as they cover discuss levelling the AI playing field. Speakers will walk through concrete examples of inventions for which patent rights were granted (and in some cases refused) at the European Patent Office.

Which types of software inventions, including AI inventions, can be patented? Are there certain characteristics that make an AI invention more likely to be patentable?

The panel will answer these questions and others, specifically:

• Are some AI inventions intrinsically more patentable than others?
• How “AI friendly” is the European Patent Office?
• How can I tell if my AI is patentable?
