SPAL latest news: SPAL supports the (agricultural) ballet
09 April 2020
MIA member SPAL has prepared the following news article.

One bright spot on the horizon during these unprecedented times is the sight of activity in the fields shifting into overdrive as farmers work 18-20 hours a day, 7 days a week playing catch up to get crops in the ground.
Last weekend SPAL UK MD Matthew Morris watched (from a safe distance) as 11 machines performed a magnificent ballet on a 20-acre plot, sowing potatoes. He estimates it took an hour and a half of elegant manoeuvres to complete a series of perfect furrows.
With that in mind, seeders and other agricultural vehicles which have been idle during the wet winter and suddenly mobilised to operate to punishing schedules, might be in need of service parts for HVAC and cooling.
Just a reminder that it’s business as (un)usual for SPAL
• SPAL have put measures in place to continue to operate safely and minimise risk including deep cleaning and issue of protective gear.
• Limited warehouse and accounts staff are still on site at Worcester while others are based at home.
• Working with their trusted delivery services, they are able to maintain daily shipments of stock.
• SPAL also have plenty of stock so anyone with supply issues should give us a call.
*Easter closing – we will be closed Good Friday and Easter Monday but returning to work as usual on Tuesday 14th April.*
