Tommaso Volpe appointed Global Nissan Sports Director

Nissan have released a business update.

Tommaso Volpe becomes Director of Nissan global motorsports on April 1, to oversee all Nissan’s racing operations and retain responsibility for Infiniti’s motorsport programs, taking over from Michael Carcamo.

He has been Director of motorsport and performance projects at Infiniti Motor Company since 2014, helping to take their brand from being a sponsor to a technical partner of Renault F1, as well as leading co-development of the Energy Recovery System and the Infiniti engineering academy.

Pierre Loing, Nissan’s general manager of global product marketing and motorsports, said, “Michael has been instrumental in developing the Formula E program for Nissan. We thank him for his drive and dedication. Tommaso brings a wealth of motorsports and marketing experience to this role.”
