SPAL business update

19 March 2020

MIA Member SPAL have prepared the following announcement.

Under the escalating situation relating to the COVID-19 virus, SPAL understand that their customers are keen to be kept updated on all developments that may impact their business.

SPAL would therefore like to reassure customers that SPAL operations in Italy remain normal and have not been affected by the measures brought into place to cope with the virus. The Group CEO Mr Alessandro Spaggiari has confirmed that despite restrictions in force until April 3rd 2020 on public social activities and events, people in Italy are still permitted to go to work and, vitally, goods are still moving freely.

SPAL has had no reported cases of COVID-19, either in Italy or in the UK. In Italy, all employees are working normally and products flow has been uninterrupted.
In the UK, some of our staff are working from home, but continue to be available to customers on usual contact numbers and emails. SPAL's aim is to ensure that customers receive the same service they have come to expect from SPAL during these challenging times.
