MIA member W Series has prepared the following announcement.
The W Series pre-season test, which had been scheduled to be run at the Circuit de Valencia, Spain, in early May, has had to be cancelled owing to COVID-19.
The 2020 W Series season is scheduled to consist of eight races, six on the DTM platform and two on the Formula 1 platform. W Series are in touch with DTM and Formula 1 with regard to those races, and are awaiting further guidance.
Catherine Bond Muir, W Series Chief Executive Officer said:
"We're in uncharted territory, in a situation beyond our control. The need for social distancing, together with restricted travel, is tough for many businesses, including motorsport. We send support and love to all our drivers, staff, partners, fans and media in these difficult times."
