Vehicle Electrification Expo, a major exhibition and conference for the electric vehicle (EV) industry is launching on the 8th – 9th July 2020 at the NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire UK. We are delighted to confirm that the event organisers are offering MIA members a 15% off exhibitor space bookings.

This new show enables automotive manufacturers to look at the latest powertrain solutions to improve the performance, efficiency, safety and sustainability of vehicles including light electric vehicles, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses and off-highway industrial vehicles.

Co-located with The Advanced Materials Show, Europe’s leading exhibition for advanced material development, and the newly launched Battery Cells & Systems Expo, the show brings together the entire supply chain involved in electric and hybrid vehicle development.  

The show is located within minutes of the brand-new UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) opening in Spring 2020 and equally close to major centres of R&D and manufacturing for organisations such as Jaguar Land Rover, London Electric Vehicle Company, WMG, Aston Martin and Lagonda.

The Vehicle Electrification Expo and Conference will be spread over two days and benefits from the rapid growth in the manufacturing of electric and hybrid vehicles in the UK. The show will demonstrate the latest in battery management solutions aiding EV range and longevity, motors, cabling, test equipment and services alongside manufacturing and automation equipment.

An advisory panel of the experts in the electric vehicle industry has been established to shape this exciting event and features global thought-leaders from organisations including Advanced Propulsion Centre, WMG, CATL Battery, Clarios (formerly Johnson Controls Power Solutions), Lithium Werks and American Battery Solutions. 

The world-class conference will feature a dedicated track exploring the trends in global automotive electrification. Despite encouraging figures for the sale of BEVs, the numbers give a rose-tinted view given the very low starting point of EV penetration in the market - in the single percentage points. The conference, chaired by Dr Wolfgang Bernhardt, Senior Partner (Automotive) at Roland Berger,  will consider how the automotive sector is processing fundamental changes in the way it is structured, where it is centered and what technologies are set to take precedent with the global movement towards electrification slowly taking root.
