Following 3 bespoke assessment days at Mission Motorsport HQ in Oxfordshire, 15 candidates - generated through referral and CTP engagement - have taken part in the first Armed Forces Engagement program undertaken by Toyota GB.
As of October, three are now in full time employment at a dealership, two more start at Christmas and a further two applicants are through to second interview.
Enabling the relationship between Toyota GB and the Career Transition Partnership, and running a ‘soft’ pre-screening to help prepare candidates has been key to driving this pilot program towards success.
Mission Motorsport has seen candidates from all three Services with a range of abilities including Naval aviation and Army attack helicopter technicians. The program is on track to have the first tranche of candidates qualified as Level 2 Technicians by mid-January 2020.
