Please find below updates relating to the Government’s preparations for leaving the EU and other key information, correct as of 25 October.
1. Brexit Business Helpline
A Brexit Business Helpline has been launched, providing advice on where to find information and guidance on what your business needs to do to prepare for Brexit. The helpline number is 0300 2000 900, and is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
2. Customs update - how to use a temporary storage facility
HMRC has updated the conditions on which you can apply and use a temporary storage facility in a no-deal scenario to delay submitting a customs declaration for goods brought into the UK. To apply, you will need to be established in the UK and involved with the movement of goods from outside the UK.

3. HMRC Border Delivery Group seminars for EU-based businesses
HMRC Border Delivery Group has released an additional series of webinars to take place from the 28 October. If you are an EU-based business trading goods to or via the UK, please sign up to a webinar led by the Border Delivery Group to receive guidance and information on the steps you may need to take. Presentations will include information on border preparedness, customs procedures at the border, relevant sector-specific content and a Q&A session. An Automotive webinar will be held on Friday 31 October at 1 pm. Registered participants will have the opportunity to submit questions to the BDG in advance of the webinars.

4. EU funding after Brexit – check whether you need to take action
The government has guaranteed that organisations will continue to receive funding for certain EU programmes if the UK leaves without a deal, but you might need to take action.
