ACT NOW to secure support for early-stage development of low emission vehicle innovations
04 October 2019

The APC Technology Developer Accelerator Programme (TDAP) specifically supports micro, small and medium-sized companies that are developing technology, products and services which are relevant to the automotive industry. Since 2017, over 30 young companies have been helped by TDAP to increase their Tedchnical and Manufacturing Readiness Levels.
The programme targets Technology Developers (TDs) with early-stage low emission vehicle innovations (i.e. TRL 1-4) so you will need to know your Technology Readiness Level (TRL) but to help you APC have put together some guidance.
The TDAP programme is a four-phase, 18 month process that supports Technology Developers as they develop their idea from concept towards a viable market proposition. TDAP supports them with industry experts who help to prioritise routes to market, protect their intellectual property and validate their technology.
The innovative solutions being developed should align with the Automotive Council’s 5 strategic technologies, or if outside these areas demonstrate a strong impact potential (e.g. developments that enable the accelerated advancement of low emission vehicle technologies). On or off-vehicle technology can be developed through the programme.
TDAP will take you through a four-stage process that will prepare you for engagement in automotive OEM and Tier 1 development programmes.Successful applications will be provided with technical and industry specialist support to guide you through the programme. If you complete all stages, your product or service is expected to achieve Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) 5 and a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6.
