MIA Energy-Efficient Motorsport Conference
in association with AVL RACING

8 January 2020
Location: NEC, Birmingham   |   Time: 09:00-16:30
Meet technology leaders from global motorsport and hear their ideas and plans for an energy-efficient future

This conference will answer the question ... “what’s in it for my company?”

The world-class high-performance engineering supply chain in the UK’s Motorsport Valley® is rapidly attracting new business. Their R&D-based, innovative, agile capabilities are successfully overcoming a wide range of energy-efficient challenges. This unique resource is in growing demand with automotive OEMs and Tier1s as well as defence, rail, aerospace, and recently marine too.

Now in its 17th year, this very popular and influential Conference and Technology Showcase brings together over 200 engineers and executives from high-tech industries. They will discuss with business leaders, current and future opportunities to enhance collaboration of innovation and technology between Motorsport and other UK sectors.

ENERGY- EFFICIENT MARINE – a new business opportunity

Recently, the £3bn leisure marine industry launched an urgent programme to meet ‘net zero’ emission targets within five years. They need help to achieve this and have an urgent demand to uncover energy-efficiency solutions from MIA members and wider industry.

Marine industry experts and companies will outline collaborations they seek and the technologies they anticipate will be required. A one-hour discussion, coupled with a British Marine Showcase will help new networks get established.

Our audience will learn from, and meet with, engineering leaders from this world-class business community of motorsport and hear news of fresh initiatives, new technologies and many motorsport-based innovations.

Amongst many leaders presenting to delegates will be…

Pat Symonds, Chief Technical Director, Formula One - F1’s plans to deliver a strategy for sustainability to benefit many industries. They aim to make all F1 race events sustainable by 2025 and the sport ‘net zero’ by 2030 driving innovation throughout global motorsport.
