Catesby Projects: Additive Manufacturing Upgrades

20 July 2025

MIA Member Catesby Projects has shared the following press release.

Additive Manufacturing Upgrades

Catesby Projects have recently expanded our additive manufacturing capacity with the addition of six advanced 3D printers – boosting both the quality and speed of our printed components.

These new systems significantly enhance our offering, enabling the production of more precise, durable, and complex parts. Thermally controlled build chambers provide consistent temperature control, allowing for stable, warp-free printing of high-performance materials such as ABS, ASA, Nylon and a range of composite fibre reinforced materials ideal for functional prototypes and end-use applications.

Dual extrusion technology enables the use of dedicated support materials, resulting in cleaner overhangs, superior surface finishes, and minimal post-processing. This not only accelerates turnaround times but also unlocks the freedom to print more intricate geometries with greater accuracy.

The ability to combine multiple colours or materials within a single print introduces exciting new possibilities such as integrated part marking, embedded QR codes, flexible zones within rigid parts, and visually striking full-colour prototypes.

With faster print speeds, automated calibration, and improved reliability, these printers also deliver increased throughput and reduced downtime – ensuring more consistent lead times for our clients.

Whether for motorsport, product development, or testing, these upgrades reaffirm our commitment to delivering high-quality, high-performance parts faster and more efficiently than ever.
