MIA member McLaren Applied sponsors MIA Energy-Efficient Motorsport Conference 2022

25 January 2022

MIA member McLaren Applied have published the following article regarding their partnership with the MIA Energy-Efficient Motorsport Conference.

We are delighted to announce our title sponsorship of the 2022 MIA Energy-Efficient Motorsport Conference (EEMS), taking place at the Birmingham NEC on 23 March 2022.

In its 19th year, the MIA Energy-Efficient Motorsport Conference (EEMS) combines an engineering conference and interactive technology showcase that invites attendees to learn about the future of energy-efficiency. The event will also be an opportunity for attendees to explore companies with innovative technology who are seeking new collaborative partners.

Not only does EEMS highlight motorsport’s proven value as a world-leading fast response R&D resource, it also highlights the application of innovative solutions originating to solve challenges faced by parallel industries worldwide.

Director of Motorsport, Matthias Dank said “We are honoured to be sponsoring an event that aligns so closely to our own initiatives and values. EEMS has always been a brilliant opportunity for in-depth and at times, controversial discussions, around the future of motorsport. Attendees will learn all about the future of energy efficiency and the opportunities surrounding complementary solutions to electrification.

Chris Aylett, CEO of the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) shared his thoughts, “There’s nothing quite like EEMS. For years delegates have said “the thing about EEMS is it makes you think really hard.” The openly encouraged discussions on energy-efficiency technology challenges provide so many highly qualified, well-informed opinions that whilst you will get many answers you still leave with plenty more to resolve. The accompanying showcase of the capabilities of so many innovative companies is an outstanding feature that adds to the value of the day.”

Bringing together representatives from the industry, media and government, the event is set to attract a global audience and showcases the next generation of motorsport and advanced engineering.
