MIA member Delta Motorsport tests with BTCC hybrid car

The Cosworth-developed British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) Hybrid package has been testing at Snetterton recently.

The car, which incorporates a Delta Motorsport designed and produced battery pack, is undergoing its first official outing as part of an extensive testing and development programme before the full introduction of hybrid BTCC cars in 2022.

The Toyota Corolla, run by Speedworks Motorsport,  driven by current Aston Martin factory driver and multiple Le Mans winner Darren Turner during the two day official BTCC Goodyear tyre test.  The car stayed on for a third day of testing in the hands of multiple race and BTCC Championship winner Andrew Jordan.
