Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) - now open

The Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF), delivered by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Innovate UK, is designed to support businesses with high energy use transition to a low carbon future.

Phase 1 of this £315m fund, will help businesses cut energy bills and carbon emissions through investing in energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies.

The competition is open for applications and will close on the 28th October.

The fund is a crucial part of the Government’s strategy for tackling climate change and reaching Net Zero by 2050. There are two strands to IETF:

 

  • Deployment of mature energy efficiency technologies that improve industrial process energy efficiency and reduce energy demand.
    Minimum grant funding - £250,000 per project 

 

  • Feasibility and Engineering studies for projects deploying mature energy efficiency technologies or deep decarbonisation.
    (Minimum eligible project cost for Feasibility - £60,000, for Engineering Studies - £100,000.
