Exciting plans are underway in Silverstone as the SportPesa Racing Point F1 Team gears up to expand its facilities. Visuals of how the new factory will look were shared with media earlier this month revealing the expansion plans for the current HQ located next to the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.

It's exciting news for a team with big ambitions. The current building traces its roots back to the Jordan days having been built in 1992 and, as Racing Point continues to grow, more space is needed to house staff, machinery and technology. It's the next step in the team's journey.

The new building will not be extravagant, but fit for purpose. The team is renowned for its efficiency in all areas and the racers' ethos will remain front-of-mind during the construction process. Smart technology will be introduced with a core focus on sustainability.

Racing Point is the only team currently planning such an infrastructure projects on this scale. It's a sign of the team's commitment to the sport as a new era begins. The fresh investment will help the team realise its longer-term ambitions, retain and attract talented staff, and ultimately take the step to the next level.

And where else would you want to build a new F1 factory than in Silverstone - the heart of motorsport valley and centrepiece of the UK's motorsport industry. It's big news for the sport and for the local area too with the creation of jobs through the construction phase and beyond when the factory is operational.
