MIA Members: Attend a focused workshop on the future of PEMD

PEMD Roadmap and Future Strategy Workshop - 31st January 2019 at The Studio, Cannon St, Birmingham, B2 5EP.

This event will interest those from industry and academia who want to know more about the roadmaps that will shape future policy and research agendas in Power Electronics Machines and Drives and also to have their say on the content of the roadmaps and future direction.

This workshop will disseminate the research challenges identified in the 2018 update to the Automotive Council Roadmaps and provide a forum to identify and discuss key cross-sector and cross-disciplinary challenges and opportunities. Outputs from this workshop will influence future policy and research agendas in Power Electronics Machines and Drives.

Delegates will give their feedback on the roadmaps, and join with the PEMD community to gain consensus on the research priorities and challenges going forward.

Knowledge to Fuel the Future - The Roadmap report "Towards 2040: A Guide to Automotive Propulsion Technologies" launched in 2018 explores Automotive Council Roadmaps to identify the key trends which will determine future powertrain development. It also summarises how future vehicles and technologies might evolve. Insights for the Roadmap Report were provided by diverse stakeholders - global OEMs to local technology developers and academia - making them truly world leading.
