A positive message for motorsport and MIA members from 10 Downing Street

With our annual Summer Reception taking place next Tuesday, I was pleased to receive a letter from the Prime Minister’s Office today. During a particularly busy week for her, this was in reply to the invitation for her to join us which we delivered for our President, Lord Astor of Hever.

Within the letter were these positive words... “The Government is committed to supporting the British Motorsport industry as it evolves in order to meet demands from the automotive, defence and energy sectors. We recognise that the MIA is a major contributor to the industry’s advancement and I do hope that the Association continues to succeed.”

Unfortunately the Prime Minister is unable to join us due to the pressures on her diary but I am delighted that her Minister for Business and Industry, Richard Harrington MP, will do so and present the Award.
