Dynisma, the UK-based motion simulator technology company, today launched DMG-S, a compact Driver-in-the-Loop simulator that puts F1-derived motion technology within a wider reach of racing and driver training environments.
Designed to deliver professional-grade simulator realism in a smaller, more accessible package, DMG-S helps drivers train, prepare and improve in a safe, repeatable environment. It supports driver development, race preparation, track familiarisation and car setup evaluation without the time, cost and logistical constraints of track running. With the ability to quickly switch between vehicle models, circuits and conditions, DMG-S provides a flexible simulation environment that can evolve alongside drivers and team as they progress through different cars, championships and stages of their careers.

DMG-S uses the same core Dynisma motion technology trusted by world-leading motorsport and automotive programmes. It recreates the cues drivers rely on in the car, from kerb strikes and weight transfer to changes in grip, tyre degradation and the onset of oversteer. With motion latency of less than 5ms and motion bandwidth above 50Hz, the simulator gives drivers a direct connection between the vehicle model and their own inputs.

DMG-S is designed for straightforward installation and operation. It fits within a 2.5m x 2.5m footprint, uses a simple bolt-down setup and requires only a single-phase 32 amp electricity supply, eliminating the need for remote electrical cabinets or complex infrastructure.

The simulator is available in two configurations: a low heel point seating position for GT and touring car applications, and a high heel point configuration for single-seater categories.
DMG-S can be configured with either triple 77-inch displays or VR/XR headset integration. It runs the same real-time software, operator console and human-machine interface used across the Dynisma simulator range, providing a familiar and scalable driver experience.Software agnostic by design, DMG-S is supplied with Assetto Corsa as standard and can use  other leading consumer racing platforms including F1, iRacing and Le Mans Ultimate. DMG-S also supports professional simulation environments, visualisation tools and vehicle model software.

The shape and styling of DMG-S were developed in collaboration with D5 Design Director Darryl Scriven, former Chief Designer, McLaren Automotive, ensuring the simulator's visual presence reflects the performance, precision and engineering quality at its core.

DMG-S expands Dynisma’s motorsport range, sitting alongside DMG-1, the company’s engineering-class platform for advanced race programmes including Formula 2, Formula E and IndyCar. The flagship DMG-360XY sits at the top of the range, with infinite yaw and 5m of physical XY travel for the most demanding motorsport applications. 

Dynisma’s motorsport platforms are used across Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula E, the FIA World Endurance Championship, GT and IndyCar, where simulator correlation, repeatability and driver feedback are central to race preparation.

Through the Battery Innovation Programme, up to £3.7 million is available to support UK organisations to establish or scale regional battery skills initiatives. The programme is funded by the UK Government, delivered by Innovate UK and supported by the Department for Business and Trade as part of the Industrial Strategy.

This is an opportunity to:

• build nationally recognised training pathways

• address critical battery sector skills gaps

• strengthen the UK battery manufacturing supply chain

• create long-term, commercially sustainable skills provision

Competition details:

• grant funding between £440,000 and £1.2 million per project

• project duration: 36 months

• application deadline: 18 June 2026 at 11am

The aim of this competition is so UK registered organisations can apply for funding to establish or scale regional skills initiatives for battery manufacturing and its supply chain.

This competition is split into two themes:

Establish: your project will establish a new regional training initiative with a focus on level 2 to 3 national qualifications to ensure learners can train and work across the UK.

Scale: your project may either scale existing battery skills provision, or create new scalable provision to deliver commercially sustainable, nationally accredited programmes (levels 2 to 5) that strengthen the UK’s battery skills pipeline. The programmes should accelerate existing skills initiatives and address known skills gaps by collaborating with current provision in innovative, commercially viable ways.

Our one week trip to North Carolina, included 3 days of visits to leading US motorsports companies and teams, providing opportunities to build closer, profitable, two-way relationships between Motorsport Valley® UK and the US.

In recent years, as a result of previous MIA and UK Government joint activities, UK suppliers have grown their share of this US motorsport business, with several organisations having now established operations in the region. This has long been a priority for the Motorsport Industry Association for over 25 years, and we are pleased to share that this years mission was another success.

This year, with support from the Department for Business and Trade, the visiting group met with Joe Gibbs Racing, Multimatic Motorsports, Team Penske, Hendrick Motorsports, DCE Inc, and Ford Technical Center.

Attendees also benefitted from an international networking event, kindly hosted by Xtrac, enabling our UK visitors to network with key players in the US motorsports industry and supply chain.

Business Development Engineer

An opportunity to join AP Racing’s Specialty OE team in a commercially driven, customer-facing role focused on winning new business and driving growth across key OEM accounts.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new programme opportunities with both existing and target customers. Working at the front end of vehicle development cycles, you will position AP Racing as the preferred partner for high-performance braking and clutch systems.

This role requires a strong blend of technical credibility and commercial drive, with clear accountability for delivering new programme wins and contributing directly to Specialty OE revenue growth targets.

Account Engineer

An opportunity to join AP Racing’s Specialty OE team in a customer-facing engineering and account management role. You will work with low-volume OEM customers to deliver high-performance braking systems from concept through to production.

This role focuses on owning customer relationships, ensuring successful programme delivery, and maintaining strong commercial performance across existing accounts.

You will act as the key interface between the customer and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered to scope, timing, and cost while identifying and escalating new opportunities within existing accounts to support growth.

Spectators filled the grandstands to watch 45 drivers who qualified to compete following a selection process, reflecting the growing participation in the sport within Palestine. Amir Badah ultimately secured first place in the overall standings, demonstrating exceptional skill and consistency throughout the championship.

The event was enabled by the FIA’s Motorsport Funding Programme which funded essential safety and technical equipment used to stage the even which offers a platform for emerging talent in Palestine to showcase their skill and global potential.

Abdallah Al Shaarawi, President of the Palestinian Motorsport and Motorcycle Federation, said: "These events serve as an important platform for discovering and developing local talent while promoting a structured and professional motor sport environment in Palestine."

The championship forms part of a motor sport growth and development strategy led by the federation with further events scheduled over coming months.

Awarded to an individual or a team of people, working in the field of motorsports engineering, who have demonstrated an outstanding technical achievement, or delivered a notable lecture, presentation or published article, or have made a significant contribution to the advancement of engineering in motorsports, including service to the Institution.

Eligibility

- Members and non-members, worldwide. Can be either an individual or a team of people, working in a recognised field of motorsports.

Award conditions

- The achievement must have been completed in the qualifying year of the award, for example a product, innovation or feature utilised in a recognised motorsports competition, a motorsports focused research project reported through a published report or paper, or an innovation presented at a major event, e.g. a conference.

- The individual or team should have had sole or lead responsibility for the product/project and, if applicable, presented at the major event.

- Nominations will be considered by the Automobile Division Board, in consultation with Adrian Reynard and they alone will have the responsibility of selecting the winner(s).

- The medal can be presented annually.

In a move to further enhance the distribution of its motorsport products, Hillcrest Technologies, the holding company of Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems Ltd, has acquired the assets and intellectual properties of Stockbridge Racing and Willans Racing, a company long established in the field of motorsport safety harnesses.
 
Through the acquisition of the Stockbridge Racing business, Lifeline will further consolidate its position as a leading global manufacturer of motorsport safety products while also gaining access to new markets across motorsport, defence, and niche vehicle sectors.
 
On the acquisition, managing director and owner of Lifeline, Jim Morris, commented: “I have always held the Willans brand in high regard and respect. Willans is the original motorsport safety harness manufacturer and has been trusted by many of the world’s leading drivers, teams, and manufacturers throughout its nearly 60-year history. By bringing the Willans brand into the group, we can build on the excellent foundations established by Simon Perkins and founder John Fenning, while continuing to develop our product range and expand into new markets in line with our growth strategy.”
