  In 2016, Stephen was appointed to a senior role in the KPMG McLaren strategic alliance.
That same year, Stephen was invited to help the Fédération International de l'Automobile's Autorité Sportive Nationale Development Task Force in the capacity of "Expert" on strategy.
In 2001, Stephen became a senior advisor and technical partner to the owners and leadership of the Williams Formula One Team. For over a decade, (in parallel to a career as a Partner & Senior Executive in a large international professional services firm), Stephen undertook a number of important and sensitive projects for Williams F1's Executive Committee (EXCO) and its strategic / technical partners.
Around 2011, Stephen was invited by the Williams F1 CEO & EXCO to take on a director-role leading the group-wide programme empowered to challenge and improve everything the group of businesses does (people, process and technology) with the goal of winning the team's 17th Formula One World Championship title. The scope of the role also encompassed Williams Advanced Engineering, the technology and engineering services business of the Williams Group.
Stephen also led the strategic review for the Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association, the governing body of motor sport in the UK, working with influential stakeholders from across motor sport, automotive industry and central government, to formulate a national strategic action plan. He has undertaken other work for the World Rally Championship.
Stephen was previously one of two directors accountable for Lotus' Tier-1 automotive engineering business with responsibilities for large-scale, complex automotive development programmes run in partnership with leading OEM customers plus he was a group director with a responsibilities spanning all of Lotus' operations world-wide.
Stephen brings extensive international experience in professional services having held Partner-level roles in a blue-chip management consulting firms; he has advised world-class organisations from a range of industries (such as aerospace & defence, telecommunications, consumer products and energy), on innovation & product development , engineering, operational excellence and technology matters.
Stephen lives in the Wimbledon Common area of London.
