Alcon Unveils New Product Catalogue Packed With Key Information, New Fitments And Braking Technology

The need to innovate is the biggest driving factor behind automotive technology, and this is especially true of advanced aftermarket brake systems, with Alcon being one of the best and most trusted names in the business. Never a firm known for standing still or resting on its laurels, Alcon has opted to kick-off 2017 by releasing an expanded product catalogue, a publication packed with the latest news, key fitments, new technology and much else besides. It's well worth looking at if you're in the market for some state of the art high performance brakes, and it's completely free to download.

Alcon's 2017 product catalogue is an impressive 130 pages in length, a stat which goes to show just how wide ranging Alcon's braking expertise actually is! One of the largest and most important chapters is dedicated to calipers, an Alcon specialty and an area where the firm can claim to be amongst the best in the industry. Those seeking advanced calipers for performance road cars are every bit as well catered for as those looking to purchase race or rally car calipers, and the chapter is capped off with detailed brake pad, technical, installation and temperature information.

The 2017 Alcon catalogue is the best way to get to grips with the firm's innovative approach to brake discs. Much like the aforementioned caliper section, this portion of the brochure is divided into sub-sections, the biggest ones being the Advantage range and the Motorsport range. Technically demanding aspects of brake disc technology, manufacture and operation are covered in a concise manner, meaning that even the most recent of performance braking converts can work out which option is best suited to their car.

Alcon has an enviable reputation when it comes to clutches, so it shouldn't be too surprising to learn that the 2017 catalogue goes into great detail on this subject. It contains tech spec information on a wide array of clutch configurations, such as carbon/carbon, motorsport sintered and motorsport rally including heavy duty sintered and heavy duty rally options.

Power, as they say, is nothing without control, hence why the Alcon catalogue dedicates a considerable portion of its pages to actuation. In practice this means pages of information covering the likes of master cylinders, balance bars and bias adjusters, valves and other essentials.

Last but by no means least, the Alcon product catalogue finds the time and space to go into great detail about its Aftermarket offerings (including the Advantage Extreme, Advantage Extreme Race and Superkit ranges), and some other, even more specialised kits intended for altogether far more serious users – the armoured and military sectors.

“The stylish new 130-page brochure clearly illustrates how far we have grown in such a short amount of time, and our burgeoning product range serves to underline how seriously Alcon takes performance braking. This publication is designed to be clear and user friendly, providing accessible and complete information about our brake and clutch setups” explains Jonathan Edwards, Sales Director at Alcon.

The 2017 Alcon product catalogue is available free to download via PDF, and anyone looking at improving the stopping power of their car would be well advised to take a look. It truly does contain a wealth of information.
