Xtrac Sales Top One Billion Dollars!

27 May 2013

On the eve of Xtrac entering its 30th year of business, we are proud to celebrate the achievement of another significant landmark.

In April, Xtrac achieved total sales over the company’s 30 year history of $1 billion. Of these over $600 million were directly exported to customers all around the world, primarily to China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United States, where Xtrac has facilities in North Carolina and Indianapolis, which service North America and South America.

With direct exports consistently achieving between 60-70 per cent of the company’s annual sales and indirect exports to oversees customers who have a UK base, Xtrac is one of the UK’s leading motorsport suppliers sitting in the heart of Motorsport Valley with a group of companies who collectively make the UK the centre of worldwide motorsport.

Xtrac has won many awards in recognition of its export successes including the prestigious Queen’s Award for Exports and the Motorsport Industry Association Award for Export Achievement.

Peter Digby, managing director of Xtrac and a recent winner of the Institute of Directors   Global Director Award for export achievements is extremely proud of the company’s results. “Engineering and manufacturing in the UK has had its difficulties in recent years, so it makes Xtrac’s performance all the more significant.  Each year as well as investing heavily in research and development, we take on apprentices and graduates who contribute to our success keeping Xtrac and the UK at the forefront of the worldwide motorsport industry, and helping our growing business in the Automotive and Engineering sector outside of motorsport. With the largest group of shareholders being the whole workforce we can all share in the success and know that we are doing our bit for the UK balance of payments.”

Xtrac shortly starts the countdown to the 30th Anniversary since its formation, a year that will recognise some of the important milestones from Xtrac’s history.
