Hypermotive are a team of 16 pragmatic automotive electrical and electronics engineers delivering bespoke solutions for electric vehicle integration.

Working with automotive OEMs, niche vehicle manufacturers, technology developers and the motorsport industry, Hypermotive’s broad capability includes systems engineering, electrical/electronic hardware and harness design, software/controls, functional safety and harnessing.Hypermotive are based in 4000ft2 of design, manufacturing and vehicle development facilities in the Midlands, within an hour’s drive of much of the UKs automotive, motorsport and off-highway industry.As well as deep understanding of electric vehicle technologies, Hypermotive have particularly strong experience of automotive hydrogen fuel cell development and integration.

Hypermotive consists of two business units; ‘Hypermotive Engineering’, and ‘Hypermotive Connect’

Hypermotive Engineering are a 10 strong team focussed on the design, low-volume manufacture and integration of electric vehicle technologies including; active and passive PDUs, controllers, DC-DCs, batteries, supercapacitors and fuel cells. With its broad capability, Hypermotive are able to support at all stages of electric powertrain development, from powertrain simulation, system sizing and design, system integration, software development, prototype manufacture and vehicle build. Hypermotive also have strong expertise in off-car and test bench electronics, such as the design and manufacture of HiL rigs, battery chargers etc. Hypermotive designed and supplied 12-off ERS battery chargers/dischargers to a leading F1 team for the 2017 F1 season.

Hypermotive Engineering are particularly well placed to support hydrogen fuel cell programmes, as a number of the senior engineers previously worked with automotive OEM fuel cell programmes.

Hypermotive Connect are a 6-strong electrical harnessing team, designing and manufacturing low-volume LV and HV harnessing for automotive and motorsport. With highly skilled harness technicians Hypermotive Connect are able to manufacture complex harnesses quickly and accurately, supported by a strong harness/EDS design capability able to design vehicle, powertrain or test rig harnesses from the ground up. Our customers range from automotive OEMs to F1. Hypermotive Connect supports the Engineering business with low-volume electrical and electronics hardware manufacture and assembly capability.

 

 

 

 

Manufacturers of Clean Break Quick Disconnect connectors. From a 2mm bleed coupling system for brake callipers and system bleeds through to a 45mm co-axial re-fuelling system. The range includes clean breaks for water, oil, hydraulic, nitrogen and fuel, including alternative fuel connections. Off car test rig/cell connectors including a mechanical keying option for safety.
