DC Electronics launch custom Heatsink for Motorsport EPAS Systems

15 Apr 2013

DC Electronics, one of the motorsport industry’s leading manufacturers of custom built electrical systems, has released custom heatsinks for their Motorsport EPAS Systems.

The heatsinks are designed to help radiate heat away from the motor.  A cooler motor has less electrical resistance which will in turn allow more current to pass and therefore reduces the loss of assistance felt due to overheating.

Comprising of two individual heatsinks, the kits are supplied with a thermal compound paste to ensure maximum heat transfer between the motor and the heatsinks. The products, which weigh 234g each, are simple to install and slide over the motor housing before being clamped in place by tightening the captive screws contained within the heatsink.

David Cunliffe, Managing Director of DC Electronics, commented: “We are delighted to introduce our new custom heatsinks for Motorsport EPAS Systems to our extensive range of products. We are confident that they will ensure better performance and reduce the issues which can be caused by overheating.”

DC Electronics is based in Maldon and has over 15 years’ experience in the industry. It has a production facility in Mooresville, North Carolina and worldwide distributors for its products, ensuring it is at the forefront of innovation and technology on a global scale.

Products designed and built by the company have been used in championships worldwide, including NASCAR, Formula 1, IndyCar, World Rally, Superbike and even F1 Powerboats.
